Obituary of Theodore E. Nelson

Theodore E. Nelson, 82, of 111 Springdale Avenue, died Sunday June 5, 2011, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown resident all of his life, he was born October 26, 1928 in Jamestown, a son of the late Leonard and Katherine Dean Nelson. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy and later served in the National Guard. He was employed by Automatic Voting Machine as a foreman. His memberships include Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church and Ingjald Lodge #65 Independent Order of Vikings. Surviving are his wife the former Nancy Olson, whom he married October 29, 1949; two children Jeffrey (Pamela) Nelson of Palm Beach, FL and Susan (Robert) Bauer of Lakewood, CO; three grandchildren Michael Bauer of Utah, Casey Yazzie of Lakewood, CO and Megan Bauer (Shurley) of Englewood, CO and three great grandchildren Ayden and Emma Shurley and Malia Yazzie. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lois Fosberg and a brother Norbert Nelson. No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
