Obituary of Daniel W. Roberts

Daniel W. Roberts, 35, of 258 Falconer St. Jamestown, died at home with family, July 10, 2011 after a lengthy illness due to diabetes and kidney failure. He was born October 22, 1975 in Jamestown, the son of Cheryl Stanford. He loved hunting and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He also enjoyed spending time with his children. Daniel was a member of the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club, and participated in a Dice Run for the Kidney Foundation through WCA Hospital. He was a graduate of Fredonia High School and worked as an auto mechanic most of his life. Daniel is survived by his mother, Cheryl Stanford with whom he resided; his stepfather, James Stanford; a brother, Joseph Roberts of Jamestown; two sisters, Nicole Roberts of Jamestown; and Bonnie (Daniel) Waterman of Marilla, NY; also four children, Jill Mosier of Dunkirk, NY; Alexis, Jake, and Seth Roberts, all of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold L. Roberts; grandmother, Thelma J. Roberts; two Aunts, Jean M. Michel; Alice G. Grimes; and uncles, Jay E. Roberts; Bob L. Roberts; and James L. Roberts. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 3 PM with Edward Hamrick officiating.
