Obituary of Frances L. Truver

Frances L. Truver, 86, of 153 Lakeview Ave Lakewood, died at 10:32 PM Saturday (September 3, 2011) in WCA Hospital. She was born August 3, 1925 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Lewis and Adeline Wallin Knickerbocker. Frances was a graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and going out to dinner on Saturday night. She also loved spending time with her grandkids, and was a great listener to anyone who needed to talk. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Robert W. Truver; six children, Terry (Sharon) Truver of Jamestown; Kit Truver of Buffalo; Brenda Truver and her companion Bob Thompson of Jamestown; Dan (Judy) Truver of Jamestown; Bonnie (Paul) Himes of Lakewood; Dale (Laura) Truver of Lakewood; ten grandchildren, Brad Truver, Kelly (Robert) Whitman, Jamie (Chris) Ceci, Timothy A. Truver, Melissa (Rob) Mendez, Michelle (Ron) VanGuilder, Michael Himes, Misty Himes, Kimberly Truver, and Joshua Truver; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Rodger Knickerbocker of Rochester, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Lenea Truver; a sister, Albertina "Tina" Alm Seastrum; and two brothers, Ellis and William Knickerbocker. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 380 East Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750.
