Obituary of Florence DeAngelo

Florence "Flossie" De Angelo, 89, of 303 West 5th St Jamestown, died at 6:30 PM Monday (October 24, 2011) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born January 16, 1922 in Lansing, OH the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Spadero De Angelo. Flossie had worked as a waitress at Hamilton's Restaurant and on the tool line at Proto Tool. She was a communicant of St. John Catholic Church and volunteered as a Gray Lady at WCA Hospital for many years. Flossie loved her family, especially her great grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Bess (Dick) Christensen; grandson, Jeff (Debi) Christensen; great grandson, Tyler Christensen; and great granddaughter Hannah Christensen, all of Tucson, AZ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. De Angelo whom she married April 18, 1942 and who died April 6, 1989; her son David L.De Angelo who died July 4, 2011; four brothers, John, Thomas, Manuel, and Joseph De Angelo; and a sister, Rose Otto. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
