Obituary of Barbara R. Lundin

Barbara R. Lundin, 82, of 115 Fredrick Blvd., West Ellicott, died Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 in WCA Hospital. She was born September 25th, 1929 in Jamestown the daughter of George D. and Lillian Anderson Coffin. A Jamestown resident her entire life, she attended Jamestown Public Schools and was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School. For many years, she was employed in the Physical Therapy Department at WCA Hospital. Her hobbies included cooking and shopping but her life centered most around her family and grandchildren. Surviving are five children, Karen Lundin (Jeff Griffith), Robert Lundin (Brenda Kelly), Martha Lundin, Debra (Art) Osterdahl, Ann (Cregg) Bernard all of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Vicky Juhl of Federal Way, Washington, Andrew Osterdahl of Jamestown, David Saxton of Goldsboro, NC, Jon Osterdahl, Jill Saxton, Ryan Bernard and Dave Griffith all of Jamestown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman P. Lundin whom she married on March 13th, 1948 in Jamestown and who died December 11th, 1985, a brother George D. Coffin, Jr. in 1991 and Merrill E. "Pete" Coffin in 2006. The funeral service will be held at the Lind Funeral Home on Friday, December 23rd at 1:30 PM; the Rev. Dayle Keefer officiating. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 7 PM Thursday December 22nd in the funeral home. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery.
