Obituary of Patricia M Parkhurst

Patricia M. "Pat" Parkhurst, 81, of Tanglewood Manor, 560 Fairmount Ave. W.E. formerly of 609 Pine St. and Covenant Manor, passed away at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday (January 3, 2012) in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident she was born March 24, 1930 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Howard and Blanch Solinger Wiltsie. In earlier years she had worked at the former Mother and Son Grocery Store and attended the Levant Wesleyan Church. Surviving are a son Robert E. Dixon of Westland, MI, two daughters Sally Matheson, JoAnne Weilacher both of Westland, MI, three grandchildren Angela Carter, Wendy Gasior both of Westland, MI, Edward Dixon of Chicago, IL, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a step-son Gregory Parkhurst of Rochester, NY, a sister Dolores Lewis of Jamestown and a brother Robert Wiltsie of Busti. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lyle R. "Parky" Parkhurst who died February 9, 2005, a granddaughter Marianne Allen and a step-son Thomas Parkhurst. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard E. Garver, pastor of Levant Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
