Obituary of Roger C. Kriegl

Roger C. Kriegl, Sr., 73, formerly of Carmel, NY died Saturday February 25, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Warren, PA after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born March 29, 1938 in Ozone Park, NY, a son of the late Charles and Paula (Buchler) Kriegl. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Roth Pak Corporation in Mamaroneck, NY as the Vice President of Sales. He enjoyed volunteering as a Boy Scout Commissioner in the Westchester -Putnam Council and for his home troop Carmel 1. He also served as The Worshipful Master of the Free and Accepted Masons in Brewster, NY. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Rosenberger) Kriegl, his children Roger C. Kriegl, Jr. and partner Deb Sougey of Moorpark, CA, Kent Kriegl and his wife Christine of Londonderry, NH, Tracie Kriegl of Jamestown, NY, and son in law Edward Kalfas; four grandchildren Roger Kriegl III, Shelby and Alyssa Kalfas, and Garrison Kriegl; his brother Ronald Kriegl of Old Tappan, NJ and sister Kim Filkins of Theresa, NY. Roger was preceded in death by his sister Dale Hoover. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 3rd, at the Lind Funeral Home, 805 West 3rd Street Jamestown, NY 14701.
