Obituary of Anna M. Intihar

Anna M. Intihar, 97, of 1429 Trask Road, formerly of 145 Linwood Ave. and Emeritus of Lakewood, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of L. James Intihar who died December 2, 1994. An area resident most of her life, Anna was born June 6, 1914 in Betula, PA, a daughter of the late John and Rose Zigmond Komidar. She together with her late husband owned and operated the former Carlson's Bakery in Jamestown for many years and was later employed by the Geer-Dunn Gift Shop. She was a member of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Church. Anna always loved crocheting and continued to do so until just recently. She lovingly made many items for family and friends throughout the years. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth J. "Betty" Werner of Jamestown and son, James W. (Linda) Intihar of Fairfax, VA; four grandchildren: David (Laurie) Werner of Indianapolis, IN, James (Gabby) Intihar and John (Janeth) Intihar, both of Virginia, and Shane Intihar of Guam; five great grandchildren and two great great-grandsons; a sister, Frances Rote of Bradford, PA; and her recent caregiver, Angel Rodriguez. In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by a son, John T. Intihar; son-in-law, David J. Werner; a grandson, Robert K. Werner and granddaughter, Judith M. Werner. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Samuel Pellerito will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Thursday.
