Obituary of Pauline L. Cary

Pauline L. Cary, 91, Registered Nurse and nurse anesthetist, who served the residents of Cheektowaga and Buffalo NY for over 50 years, passed into eternal life on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. Pauline was born on September 1, 1920 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late William and Agnes Cary. She dedicated her life to the service of others and the nursing profession, primarily at St. Josephs Intercommunity Hospital in Cheektowaga. Pauline is survived by her son, James (Linda) Murray of Clifton, VA as well as her beloved niece, Barbara Nunn of Bemus Point. Pauline enjoyed the love and support of the entire Nunn family (Barbara, Brad, Mark, Melissa, Mary, & Matthew), all of Bemus Point. She is additionally survived by a brother in law, Henry Pauley of Plano TX, and her many nieces and nephews to include: Mr. and Mrs. Brad Nunn of Bemus Point, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gerbec of Amherst NY, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Congilsoi of West Seneca NY, George Koppman of Albuquerque NM, Clifford Koppman of Akron OH, Mary Ellen Telaak of West Seneca NY, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Young of Burke VA, Henry Pauley of Plano TX, William Betz of Amherst NY, Paul Betz of Phoenix AZ, Teresa Betz of Depew NY, Timothy Betz of Wooster MA, and William Cary and Caroline Cary, both of Phoenix AZ. Pauline will join her deceased sisters, Agnes Gerbec, Catherine Everingham, Margaret Koppman, Ellen Telaak, Grace Pauley, and Mary-Catherine Betz and her deceased brother, Walter Cary in the kingdom of heaven. Pauline has been lovingly cared for by the staff of Lutheran Social Services - floor A2, Hospice of Chautauqua County and Ms. Jill Blade of Ellington, to all whom her family is deeply grateful. She will be interred in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cheektowaga on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00 AM. A Roman Catholic Memorial Mass will be offered to celebrate her life and for the peaceful repose of her soul at St. Martha's Parish (formerly Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament), 10 French Road in Depew NY on Monday, March 26th at 9:30 AM.
