Obituary of Ebony R. Duval

Ebony R. Duval, 29, of 18 W. 12th St. Jamestown, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2012 in WCA Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born August 1, 1982 in Jamestown the daughter of Royce and Janice Coulter Duval. Ebony attended Jamestown Public Schools and graduated from Jamestown High School, class of 2000. She had been employed by the Jamestown Board of Education, and worked summers at Chautauqua Institution. She was a member of the North Main St. Church of God, and the Moose Lodge. Ebony loved playing BINGO, attending Church, and being around children. She was a very loving person who always had a smile on her face. Throughout her illness, she always remained strong and positive. Ebony was a fantastic mother who loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two children, Jazon Fields and Derion Duval; her two siblings, Tyson (Melissa) Coulter and Ronquike (Jose) Maisonet; her grandparents, Betty Duval Rutley, Eileen Coulter, Donald Coulter Sr., Linda Grinnell; her aunts and uncles, Gloria Jean (Wendell) Butler, Darlene (Kenneth) Campbell, Princess (Tim) Coulter, Joan Y. Ferguson, Belinda (Rambo) Duval, Marvin Duval, Anthony (Pam) Duval, Joanne (Ernest) Duval, Sonya Duval, and Latonya Duval; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, LeRoy Spann; two uncles, Donald Coulter Jr., John Duval; and her niece, Samaya Maisonet. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Beth Whitehead of the North Main St. Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her children in care of the family.
