Obituary of Kari L. Nystrom

Kari L. Nystrom, 43, of Rio Drive, Frewsburg, was at her family home, 2130 Linden Ave. Ashville, when Jesus came and took her to her yellow house in heaven on Monday, May 28, 2012. She was born July 17, 1968, in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Rodney L. Nystrom and Lorena Larson Nystrom. She was a graduate of Panama Central School and was associated with several programs at the Resource Center. As a volunteer she had worked at Salvation Army, Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, Bemus Point United Methodist Church, Frewsburg Library, Community Helping Hands and Stillwater Gardens. She attended the Bemus Point United Methodist Church and participated in several events for the Special Olympics. Kari will be remembered for her bright blue eyes and infectious smile. She loved people and enjoyed music more than anyone. Her love for Jesus was evident in all of her life. Her joy and excitement always brightened the day of those around her. She was a woman with a servant's heart and was always willing to help. Surviving are her step parents Richard and Lory Hatfield of Ashville, NY, two brothers Mark (Lori) Nystrom and Steve (Becky) Nystrom, of Jamestown, a sister Joelle (John) Grazulewicz of Georgia, step brother Brian Truax II of Jamestown, step sister Kimberly Truax of North Dakota, two nieces Emilee Grazulewicz of Georgia and Missy Nystrom of Oregon, her step grandparents Gordy and Jean Robbins of Jamestown and special friends Jennifer Felice and Jennifer Yost, both of Frewsburg. She was preceded in death by her father who died January 29, 2003, her mother who died August 27, 1994 and grandparents, Martin and Doris Nystrom and John and Elaine Larson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, in Bemus Point United Methodist Church. Pastor Doug Kibbe will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11-2 & 5-8 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012, in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W.
