Obituary of Donna M. Darling

Donna Darling of Niobe, NY died Monday June 17 at the home of her brother after a lengthy illness. Donna was born in Mayville, NY on July 5, 1936. She was the daughter of Carl and Marjorie Arnold Darling. She graduated from Panama Central School in 1954, and worked as a computer programmer at Marlin Rockwell and Blackstone Mfg. for many years. Donna was a very accomplished musician and portrait artist for many years. She played for the Jamestown Municipal Band, Lucille Ball Little Theater, JCC Band Library Theater, Warren Chamber Music, and many other groups. Donna specialized in animal portraits and was a very devoted person to her many dogs over the years. She was a very adventurous person who loved the outdoors. Donna attended Panama United Methodist Church for some time. She is survived by her brother James and wife Darlene Darling of Panama, a nephew David and Lucinda Darling of Youngsville, PA, a great nephew Michael and niece Amber Darling also of Youngsville, a great great niece Jo Anna, and a nephew Daniel and Heidi Darling of Jamestown, NY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister in law, Norma Darling. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Panama United Methodist Church in Panama, NY with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Lind Funeral Home in Jamestown, NY.
