Obituary of Mary J. Stoller

Mary J. Stoller, 73, of 11West Cowden Place, Jamestown, NY passed away at 10:25 a.m. Thursday (August 16, 2012) in W.C.A. Hospital. A Jamestown resident for over 40 years, she was born April 16, 1939 in Esto, FL a daughter of the late Vernon and Flossie Thelma Blount Sheffield. Before her retirement she was a clerk at the former G.C. Murphy Company for over 15 years. Mary will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother who loved taking care of her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her lovely flowers. She was also an avid reader and loved her cats. She loved traveling and living in several different cities over the years as her husband fulfilled his military service. In earlier years she was a Sunday school teacher for the former United Pentecostal Church on McKinley Ave. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Walter G. Stoller whom she married July 19, 1955 in Panama City, FL, a daughter Malinda S. Stoller of Jamestown, a brother James Sheffield of Esto, FL and two sisters Frances Adams of Esto, FL and Kate Hughes of Panama City, FL Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Howard D. Stoller who died July 6, 2005, a sister Bobby Jenkins and a brother Delbert Sheffield. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. William Blair, pastor of the New Creation Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
