Obituary of Jacqueline S. Harris

Jacqueline S. Harris, 51, of 19 West 22nd St has gone to heaven by the grace of the Lord Monday October 1, 2012, and will not suffer anymore. Peacefully she passed while being held by her family. She was born August 27, 1961 in the Army Hospital at Fort Knox, KY, the daughter of Mary Mattingly Fleming and the late Charles B. Fleming II. Jackie attended Ss Peter and Paul Catholic School and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1979. For several years, she was employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Roger Erickson, and was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jackie was a phenomenal wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and devote catholic. She loved her family more than anything. Her granddaughter Isabella Alivia was the apple of her eye. Jackie had a way about her that she made everyone feel so special and loved. She had a pure zest for life. She enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, cooking for her family, taking care of her dogs and cats, traveling, being an active member of her church, and spending time with her family. In addition to her mother of Jamestown, she is survived by her loving husband Brian W. Harris whom she married October 18, 1980; a daughter, Machelle (Brian J.) Russo of Canandaigua, NY; a son, Brian C. Harris of Jamestown; a granddaughter, Isabella Alivia Russo; six brothers and sisters, Rhonda Fleming Teeter; Charles B. (Sharon) Fleming III; Karen (Rodney) Lobe; Paul (Melissa) Fleming; Monica Raynor; and Patricia (Kenny) Jackson; 22 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and her father in law and mother in law, Carlos and Alice Harris. She was preceded in death by her father on September 16, 2009; a brother, Johnny Fleming in 1981; and a niece, Kristiann Jackson in 1993. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Apostles Parish Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Robert A. Stolinski will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750; or Holy Apostles Parish Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 508 Cherry St., Jamestown, NY 14701; or National Ovarian Cancer Coalition at www.ovarian.org. Blessed by her life, blessed by her love, she has ascended into heaven, and now we will be blessed by her spirit. She will look upon us as our Guardian Angel. No day will go by that you won't be thought of, you will be truly missed in our hearts and souls.
