Obituary of Louis A. Fusco

Louis A. Fusco, 26, of Austintown Ohio, formerly of Jamestown, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (January 22, 2013) in Austintown, OH. Louis was born November 19, 1986 in Jacksonville, NC a son of Christopher Fusco and Mary Gilroy Fusco. He attended Jamestown Public Schools until the end of his sophomore year of 2002. He graduated from the Austintown Fitch High School in 2004 and was a graduate of Youngstown State College. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves in 2004 and served the last eight years with the 76th Aerial Port Squadron, 910th AW Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna, OH as an air transportation specialist, qualified rigger. During his time of service he served in Afghanistan and the country of Qatar. While living in Jamestown he attended the Holy Apostles Parish at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was also active in the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club, Jamestown Y.M.C.A., the JAYS Soccer Program and played midget football for the Southside Blue Devils. He also played basketball for Jamestown High School during his freshman and sophomore years. Surviving are his mother, Mary Gilroy Fusco of Jamestown, his father and step-mother Christopher and Denise Fusco of Canfield, OH, a sister Angelina Fusco of Austintown, OH, step-sister Jessica Broll, step-brother Michael Broll both of Youngstown, OH, his maternal grandparents Joyce Gilroy of Olean, NY, Dr. William (Trudy) Gilroy of Cuba, NY, his paternal grandparents Francis and Janet Fusco of Austintown, OH as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by two cousins Michael Parks who died on August 7, 2000 and Brittany Malone who died January 12, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Holy Apostles Parish at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
