Obituary of James M. Bryerton

We very deeply mourn but announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, James M. Bryerton of 64 Big Tree Sugar Grove Road, Jamestown, NY. Jim passed away on Monday March 18th, 2013, of Cancer. He was born on September 26th,1959 in Lock Haven, PA to Janet Palm and the late Donald Bryerton Jr. Jim will be looking down upon his wife Laurie, of 27 years, daughter Adrienne and sons Jesse, Jordan and Corey Bryerton. He is also survived by his mother Janet Palm, a sister and brother-in-law Karan Bryerton-Cook and Mark Cook, brother Mark Bryerton, mother-in-law Martha Chapman, sisters- and brothers-in-law Sonna and Jake Sanden, Jane Chapman, Brad and Peg Chapman, Kathy Chapman, Clint and Ellen Chapman, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his father-in-law Harold D. Chapman and brother-in-law Wesley Chapman. Jim was a man that only most men could hope to be, with honor, integrity, and great love for his family and friends. He worked for many years at Curtis Well Service. His fun times were spent watching his four children in their various sporting and school events at Southwestern Central School, golfing, hunting, boating, camping and enjoying all his family and friends. He was a Youngsville High School graduate and a leader in most all of his sports. He was the quarterback in football, basketball team captain and track relay record holder. He was also well-known for his skills at softball which he played for many years and was given the nickname "Smoke". Jim was loved and respected by many and will be a great loss to our family, friends and the community. We will honor him by celebrating his time with us during a time for visiting and reminiscing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church. Pastor Billy Hughes will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to an education fund for Jim's children, c/o the Sugar Grove Branch of PNC Bank
