Obituary of Elizabeth J. Sullivan

Elizabeth J. Sullivan, 77, of 16 Adams St., died Sunday April 21, 2013 in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. A Jamestown resident since 1969, she was born April 17, 1936 in Newfane, NY the daughter of the late John and Edith Sullivan. For 30 years, she worked at Carpenter & Bacot Cleaners. She was an avid Bingo player and loved going to the casino. Surviving are a daughter, Denise VanDewark with whom she made her home in Jamestown; two sons, Danny Mealy of Jamestown; Brian Mealy of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Ashlyn, Tiffany, Tia, Brian, Aaron, Jeff M., Jeff L., Stephanie, Danny, Andrew; two great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Carlyon of Las Vegas; and a brother, Richard "Hank" Sullivan of Henderson, NV. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathline Kervin; a son, Ricky Sullivan; three brothers, Jack, Earl, and Elmer; two sisters Erma, and Rita; and her two ex husbands, Westley Mealy and Ronald Stone. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York; or the American Cancer Society.
