Obituary of Paul C. Milioto

Paul C. Milioto, 94, of 345 Hazzard Street, died Tuesday May 21, 2013, in his home. A Jamestown native, he was born November 1, 1918, a son of the late Charles and Irene LaMarca Milioto. He was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School and served in the US Army from 1942-45. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Jamestown Metal Manufacturing and earlier by Jamestown Plywood and Art Metal Incorporated, all in the shipping department. He was a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Jamestown Moose Lodge, American Legion War Vets Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was considered by many to be the mayor of Hazzard Street. He loved to dance and travel with his wife, especially enjoying trips to Las Vegas with the Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and golfing and bowling, having rolled a 299 game once. Surviving are his wife of 67 years Grace Lisciandro Milioto, whom he married November 24, 1945 and a daughter Irene Milioto of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Charles "Chuck" Milioto who died May 26, 1978; a brother Anthony Milioto and a sister Margaret Tyrpak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. Rev. Darrell Duffy will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W.
