Obituary of Marilyn S. Lindell

Marilyn S. Lindell, 87, of 33 Erlfrd Drive Lakewood, died Tuesday May 21, 2013 in her home. She was born July 14, 1925 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Herbert and Candace Peterson Schow. Marilyn was an integral part in establishing Arro Tool and Die with her husband and she also worked with various local accountants for several years. For the past 28 years, she was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and previously was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for 30 years. Marilyn enjoyed baking and getting together with her knit club. Her greatest joy was being grandma. Surviving are three sons, James (Lois) Lindell of Lakewood; Jack (Nanci) Lindell of Oscoda, MI; Jeffrey (Debra) Lindell, of Lakewood; six grandchildren, James E. (Janet) Lindell and Jared (Gretchen) Lindell, both of Lakewood; Jason (Kristy) Lindell and Jocelin Lindell both of MI; Jaime Lindell of Boston, MA; Jay R. Lindell of VA; five great grandchildren, Callie, Andrew, Tyler, Micah, and Noah all of Lakewood; and a brother in law, Dennis Lindell of Oklahoma City. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Roger Lindell whom she married July 3, 1946 and who died December 21. 1998. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bethel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Timothy J. Hoyer, pastor of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in Gustafson Hall in the church.
