Obituary of Nancy J. Aldrich

Nancy J. Lundsten-Aldrich, 65, of 23 Cedar Ave. passed away at 7:22; a.m. Friday (June 7, 2013) in her home. A lifelong area resident she was born December 11, 1947 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Carl A. and V. Shirley Lindberg Lundsten. She attended Jamestown High School and received her Associates Degree from Jamestown Community College. For many years Nancy was a well known self employed seamstress in the Jamestown area. In previous years she had worked for the former Firchs Bakery, Wellman Brothers and Bush Industries. She had also worked with her family at the former "Needles and Pins" Custom Upholstery Shop. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jamestown and will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister who loved to write short stories and poetry. She also loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her three children; Virginia Vaughn, Thomas (Angel) Ormsby, Patrick (Nicole) Ormsby all of Jamestown, nine grandchildren; Matthew Bane of Seattle, WA, Marissa Bane, Robert Baum, Stephanie Bane, Sabra Kay Ormsby, Carissa Peterson, Jace Ormsby, Jadon Ormsby, Carah Ormsby all of Jamestown, two brothers; James D. (Dianne) Lundsten, Steven C. (Kim) Lundsten both of Ellington, NY and a sister Patty (Mike) Calimeri of Falconer, NY. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Betty L. Marsh who died June 28, 2012 and a son in law Tom Bane who died September 18, 1997. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Bishop Keith Fairbank of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
