Obituary of Victoria E.J. Manhart

Victoria Elizabeth Josephine (Johnson) Manhart, 103 years old, of Stow, Ohio, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, joined her husband, Merle S. Manhart, in God's kingdom on July 8, 2013. She was born Aug. 21, 1909, in Lanse, Pa., the daughter of Gustaf and Dahlia Johnson, and moved to Jamestown, N.Y., in 1928, then resided in Ashville, N.Y., for more than 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Merle S. Manhart; her parents; and siblings. She is survived by three daughters: Janet Bergstrom, Stow, Ohio, Sally (Stan) Alex, Lewiston, N.Y., and Linda (Ron) Larson, Shrewsbury, Mass.; seven grandchildren: Todd (Kim) Bergstrom of Norton, Ohio, Jeffrey (Jennette) Bergstrom of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Kurt (Susann) Bergstrom of Knoxville, Tenn., Steve (Mary) Alex of Millbrook, N.Y., Scott (Carol) Alex of Wilson, N.Y., Doug (Jenn) Larson of Savage, Minn., and Pamela Lincoln of Sutton, Mass.; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pastor Violet Davidson will conduct a service at Lind Funeral Home, 805 W. Third St., Jamestown, N.Y., on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at noon, where friends are invited for visitation from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Open Meadows Cemetery, N.
