Obituary of Amy Sue Winterburn

Amy Sue Winterburn, 44, of 198 Linwood Ave. Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly at 2:29 p.m. Monday (July 29, 2013) in the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May, NJ while on vacation with her family. A lifelong area resident she was born January 19, 1969 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of Robert H. and Carol Anderson Winterburn. Amy was a graduate of Jamestown High School Class of 1987 and graduated from Jamestown Business College in 1989. For the past several years she was employed by Curt B. Westrom and Company as a receptionist. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and loved babysitting in the nursery. She will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister and aunt who loved going on trips and vacations with her family and friends. She also loved scrapbooking and going to Tim Hortons every morning. She was also very close to her extended family and really enjoyed supporting her niece Kathryn by attending her many school and sporting activities. Amy was a member of the Gift of Life Organ Donor Program and by donating her organs was hoping to make someone's life a little better. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her parents, Carol and Bob Winterburn of Jamestown, a brother Scott Winterburn her sister-in-law Karen Winterburn and her niece Kathryn Winterburn all of Frewsburg, NY as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Edna and Harry Winterburn and her maternal grandparents Edna and Elmer Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013, in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Nagle, pastor of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in the church and following the service in Anderson Hall of the church.
