Obituary of Donna L. Blankenship

Donna L. Blankenship, 52, of 296 Winsor St., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 in her home following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 28, 1960 in Warren, Pa., a daughter of the late Garley Lee and Carolyn Crooks Blankenship. In earlier years, she had been employed by Loranger International in Warren. Donna was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all; her life was her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She is survived by four children: Carrie M. Soto, Sarah J. Blankenship and Jolynn K. Blankenship, all of Jamestown, and Justin L. Blankenship of Buffalo; five grandchildren: Ladaya R. Blankenship, Michael J. Blankenship, Christopher J. Rasmussen, Trent X. Harless and Carolyn R. Taylor; two brothers: Michael W. Blankenship of Tiona, Pa. and Garley L. Blankenship of Sheffield, Pa.; a sister, Wanda J. Blankenship of Warren; a sister-in-law, Jody Blankenship of Sheffield; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Angelo Soto, Jr. A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Blankenship residence, 366 North Six Mile Road in Tiona, Pa. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army; or a charity of choice.
