Obituary of Jeanet E. Thurber

Jeanet E. Thurber, 93, of Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing, died Thursday October 31, 2013, in the facility. She was born February 27, 1920, in Jamestown, A daughter of the late Earl and Margia Warner Mitchell. She was a 1938 graduate of Jamestown High School. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening and cooking. Surviving are two daughters-in-law Linda Thurber of St. Louis, MO and Julia "Judy" Thurber of Greenhurst; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thurber; two sons Lawrence Thurber and Robert Thurber, Jr, and a sister Maime Smith. A private graveside service will be held in Sunset Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
