Obituary of Karen J. Sherbine

Karen J. Sherbine, 68, of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 in WCA Hospital to be reunited with her beloved husband in heaven. She was born March 13, 1945, in Vowinkle, PA, the daughter of the late James and Mary Eck. On July 4, 1964, she married the love of her life, Thomas M. Sherbine, in Oil City, PA, who passed away on January 30, 2013. Karen was a very loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be deeply missed. She enjoyed Bingo, QVC, and generously donated to many causes. Words cannot express what a wonderful lady she was. Surviving are four children: Brenda (Jeff) Moran of Jamestown, NY, Thomas (Kim) Sherbine Jr. of Ashville, NY, Jeffrey (Colleen) Sherbine of Falconer, NY, and Robert Sherbine of Jamestown, NY; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, plus one on the way; four sisters: Patricia (Lewis) Hartzell, Gloria (John) Williams, Rosie Cullip, and Kathy (Dick) Carroll; three brothers: Richard (Billie) Eck, James Eck, and Claire (Jodi) Eck; and her dog Ruthie. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Michael Sherbine, and two brothers: Charles Eck and Danny Eck. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday November 23, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday (prior to the service) in the funeral home.
