Obituary of Russell A. Ellis

Russell A. Heim Ellis, 53, of 72 Conewango Ave. Celoron, NY passed away at 5:54 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in W.C.A. Hospital. An area resident for most of his life, he was born August 13, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of Mary Ann Heim Kohl. Before his illness, he was employed as a bus driver for the Resource Center for several years. He had earlier worked at the Kwik Fill Service Station of Fairmount Ave. He will be remembered as a very caring person and was dedicated to taking care of his mother the past few years, being the best son he could be. Surviving are his mother Mary Ann of Cambridge Springs, PA, his wife Cheryl L. Ellis whom he married July 29, 2001, his children Brittany C. Chase of Jamestown, Michael and Justin Olson both of FL, Jeffrey (Mackenzie) Bennett of Celoron, a grandson Alexander Bennett, a sister Debra A. (Roger) Gibbs of Ashville, NY, his niece and nephew Ryan (Stephanie) Gibbs of Okinawa, Japan, Kristie L. Gibbs of Ashville and his father and mother in law Charles and Delores Ellis of Celoron. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray, retired chaplain of W.C.A. Hospital will officiate. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave. Jamestown, NY 14701.
