Obituary of Barbara E. Hoovler

Barbara E. Hoovler, 66, of 8 Crane St. Jamestown passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. An area resident for most of her life, she was born January 3, 1947 in Chatham, Ontario, a daughter of the late Robert Clay and Margaret Mae Newberry Britton. She was a 1965 graduate of the former Chautauqua Central School and the Williamsport Area Tech School in Williamsport, PA. She had been employed as head of food service for the "A Children's Place Day Care Center" at First Presbyterian Church and more recently was an aide for the Resource Center working primarily at the Foote Ave. Facility. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved her son's deeply and always put them first in her life. She also enjoyed camping at Allegheny State Park with her family, her brothers, nieces and nephews. Surviving are her two sons, Darren Hoovler and Daniel Hoovler, two grandsons Joshua Hoovler and Erik Hoovler all of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son David Clay Britton and three brothers Brian Britton, James Britton and William Britton. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
