Obituary of Grace Milioto

Grace Milioto, 94, of 345 Hazzard St., died Tuesday December 17, 2013 in her home. A Jamestown resident most of her life, she was born March 16, 1919 in Wishaw, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Leonarda Baldi Lisciandro. Grace was a graduate of Jamestown High School and had worked at National Worsted Mills and Empire Worsted Mills. She was communicant of St James Catholic Church and a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary. In earlier years, she was a member of the Fletcher School PTA. She enjoyed bowling with the senior citizens league, dancing with her late husband, going to the Salamanca Casino, and traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City with her husband and daughter with the Rod and Gun Club. Grace loved sitting on the front porch of her home, hosting porch party gatherings with her family, friends, and neighbors. Family meant everything to her. Surviving are her daughter, Irene Milioto of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Paul C. Milioto whom she married November 24, 1945 and who died May 21, 2013; her son, Charles "Chuck" Milioto, who died May 26, 1978; eight sisters, Josephine VanOrman, Angeline Starner, Rose Russo, Mary Schwert, Frances Enserro, Jennie Foti, Theresa Vetillaro, Lucy Domenici; and two brothers, Leonard and John Lisciandro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W.
