Obituary of A. Ralph Johnson

A.Ralph Johnson, 72, of Jamestown passed away at 12:48 a.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, he was born September 24, 1941 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Carl Johnson and the late Rose Conti Johnson Case. Before his retirement he was employed by the former Jamestown Lounge Company for several years. Ralph was a loving and caring husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching TV, and visiting with people where ever he was. Surviving are his wife the former Darlene P. Swiderski whom he married June 27, 1964, a son, Daniel Johnson (fiancée Suzanne Spencer) of Columbus, IN, a daughter Rhonda Garcia (Edward) of Cameron, TX, three grandchildren, Danielle Johnson, Jessica Garcia, Edward Garcia, a sister, Faith Widegren of Jamestown as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee O'Brien, pastor of the Busti Federated Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
