Obituary of Betty J. Rudd

Betty June Rudd, 89, of 6 Highland Avenue, Lakewood, died Friday December 27, 2013 in WCA Hospital. A native of Jamestown, she was born June 23, 1924, a daughter of the late George and Flora King Rudd. Ms. Rudd worked for many years at Lakewood Supply, Inc and New Penn Golf Car. She served on the Lakewood Planning Department Board. A gifted soprano, Ms. Rudd belonged to many area choral societies. She will be remembered for her red Wellington boots and her red Keds. Surviving are Timothy K. Rudd, Susan Fiedler and Olivia Allen all of Lakewood and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Flora Jean Rose. At her request there will be no services or visitation. Contributions in her memory may be made to Lakewood Memorial Library, Lakewood Fire Department or Chautauqua County Humane Society.
