Obituary of Gerald R. Miller

Gerald R. Miller, 77, of 16 Venice Avenue, Celoron, died Saturday December 28, 2013, in St Vincent Health Center, Erie. He was born February 15, 1936, in Toledo, OH, a son of Nelson and Thelma Nelson Frye. For many years he was a self employed cabinet maker and finish carpenter. For a time in his life he was a professional boxer. He was a self proclaimed gypsy who enjoyed traveling, fishing, shooting pool and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are a daughter Dee Dee; five sons William, Steven, Gerald, Douglas and Alan, a brother Frank (Gae) Miller of Erie, PA; two sisters Thelma Wiff of Toledo, OH and Bonnie Foogde of Jamestown and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Nelson Frye; his mother Thelma Nelson Carr; his wife Julie Ann Pierce Miller and a grandson Isaac Sutton. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
