Obituary of Helen B. Borkman

Helen B. Borkman, 87, of 14207 Wingfoot Road, Orlando, FL, formerly of 132 Livingston Avenue, Jamestown, died Wednesday February 5, 2014, in Winter Park, FL. She was born March 30, 1926, in Ashville, NY, a daughter of the late Harry and Dolly Drake Boss. A 1944 graduate of Panama Central School, she later attended Albany State College. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Dr. Israel DPM as a receptionist. She was a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband Gordon F. Borkman, whom she married October 23, 1949; a son Michael (Valerie) Borkman of Orlando; three grandchildren David, Steven and Kevin Borkman and a brother Richard Boss of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Donald Borkman; a brother Gordon Boss; a sister Irene Ayers and two half sisters Patricia Toner and Alberta Toner. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
