Obituary of Ina C. Carr

Ina C. Carr, 89, of High Acres, died Saturday March 22, 2014, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born February 10, 1925, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Gunnard and Hilma Erlandson Carlson. She attended Jamestown schools and prior to her retirement was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a custodian. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Disabled American Veterans and the former Diana Lodge. Surviving is a daughter Kathleen Samuelson of High Acres; four grandchildren Tracy (Charles Lewicky) VanHout of Brocton, Eric (Gary Ritter) Samuelson of Mechanicsburg, PA and Christofer and Andrew Carr, both of Bowie, MD; seven great grandchildren Joshua Van Hout of Mechanicsburg, PA, Zachary Van Hout of Tampa, FL, Nate and Abigail Van Hout of Brocton and Ethan, Henry and Addison Carr of Bowie, MD; a daughter-in-law Diane Millard Carr of Bowie, MD and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace R. "Curly" Carr, whom she married April 4, 1944 and who died July 23, 2008; two sons James and David Carr; a brother Gillis Carlson; a sister Doris Shaka and a son-in-law Dennis Samuelson. No funeral service will be observed. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
