Obituary of JoAnn E. Bronson

JoAnn E. Bronson, 71, formerly of Hoag Rd. Ashville, NY and Chicago, IL, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident since 2006, she was born January 10, 1943 in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Earl and Mae Henton Bronson. Before her retirement she was employed by the Injecto Mold Company in Chicago for 40 years. She was a longtime active member of the Hoyne Ave. Wesleyan Church, Chicago where she was a Sunday school teacher, Treasurer of the church, a member for the church board and was instrumental in the formation of the missions program for children. Locally she was a regular attendee of the Panama Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Melvin E. Bronson of Ashville, NY as well as several nieces and nephews including Donna J. (Joseph) Blasczyk of Las Cruces, NM, Kathryn M. (Dale) Lundmark of Russell, PA, Gail M. (Kelly) Mersch of Ashville, NY. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, James Fewer, Allen Fewer, Stanley Fewer, Vernon Bronson, Lindy Bronson and five sisters, Donna M. Holeman, Diane Johnson, Sharon Koehn, June Bronson and Mary Jane Bronson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, in the Panama Baptist Church. The Rev. Rodney Sprowls, Pastor will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the Panama Baptist Church, 22 North St. Panama, NY 14767.
