Obituary of Dana W. Pavolko

Dana W. Pavolko, 50, of 4515 Ashville Rd. Ashville, NY, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, in W.C.A. Hospital. An area resident for most of his life, he was born June 20, 1964 in Salamanca, NY, a son of the late Joseph S. and JoAnne A. Montgomery Pavolko. Dana was a graduate of Panama Central School. He was currently employed as the Manager of the Falconer Mobile Service Station in Falconer, NY, where he has worked for the past several years. He was a member of the LLAMA Club in Ashville and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved to hunt and take unexpected road trips with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Nancy A. Weaver whom he married July 12, 1986, two sons, John D. (Alicia) Pavolko of Philippi, West Va., Allen R. (Hannah Cummings) Pavolko of Ashville, a daughter, Kylie L. Pavolko of Ashville, four grandchildren, Izaac, Steven, Makenzie and Zander Pavolko, three sisters, Sandra (Carl) Swanson of Ashville, Debbie Pavolko, Sue Pavolko both of AL, and two brothers Craig Pavolko of OH, Joseph Pavolko of AL. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Trevor S. Swanson who died October 4, 1998. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of family and friends to be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the LLAMA Club in Ashville.
