Obituary of Ronald L. McKillip

Ronald L. McKillip, 67, of 3108 Eckman Road, Jamestown, died Sunday August 24, 2014, in his home. He was born June 21, 1947, in Jamestown, a son of the late William and Velva Linder McKillip. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1966-68. He had been employed by Hooper Handling, Hamburg as an electric forklift repairman. He earlier had worked for American Sterilizing/Amsco as a welder. Restoring cars was his passionate hobby. Surviving are his wife the former Ann Frank, whom he married April 7, 1984; a son Adam McKillip of Jamestown; a sister Jean (James) Rock of Bemus Point and 2 brothers James (Edith) McKillip and Donald (Susan) McKillip, both of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jason McKillip; a brother Klair McKillip and three sisters Joyce DeGoiler, Janice Livermore and Judy Stanton. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point. Rev. Cathy Smith of Hospice Chautauqua County will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the church.
