Obituary of Terry L. Latona

Terry L. Latona, 56, of 26 Central Ave. W.E. passed away at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family. An area resident for most of his life, he was born June 23, 1958 in Warren, PA, a son Lloyd B. and Margaret M. Chambers Latona, Sr. Terry attended Jamestown Public Schools and was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Before retiring due to ill health, he was a Supervisor for SKF Aeroengine Company, where he worked from 1979 to 2010. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed cooking, gardening, riding his motorcycle and in earlier years was an avid hunter. Surviving are his mother, Margaret M. Latona of Jamestown, his wife, Debra Farrar Latona whom he married November 15, 1980, a daughter, Amanda L. Latona, a granddaughter, Hailey J. Granger both of Jamestown, five brothers, Lloyd (Radha) Latona, Jr., James (Annette) Latona both of Jamestown, Russell Latona of Atlanta, GA, Richard Latona of Dahlonega, GA, Steve (Charlene) Latona of Frewsburg, NY, two sisters, Laurie Bowman of Jamestown, Linda (Bobby) Pittman of Blairsville, GA, several nieces and nephews and his constant companion, the family dog "Abby". He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd B. Latona, Sr. who died April 27, 2009. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Hinman, pastor of the Hillcrest Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Stillwater Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
