Obituary of Barbara A. Nelson

Barbara A. Nelson, 63, of 55 Hidden Cove Point, Prosperity, SC, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday September 11, 2014, in her home. She was born December 13, 1950, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Dalrymple Kuhn. She was a 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College School of Nursing. A South Carolina resident since 1999, she was employed as a registered nurse by Palmetto Health Heart Hospital, Columbia, SC, and while living in Jamestown by both Jamestown General and WCA Hospitals. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Irmo, SC. Surviving are her husband Timothy Nelson, whom she married June 24, 1972; children Karen Nelson of Spartanburg, SC and Stephen (MaryBeth) Nelson of Columbia, SC and a brother Ronald (Sherri) Kuhn of Irmo, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Douglas Kibbe will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
