Obituary of Charles Stuart Davidson

Charles "Stu" Davidson, 73, of 293 Baker Street, died Saturday September 20, 2014, in his home. He was born October 22, 1940, in Ludlow, PA, a son of the late Paul and Iona Atkins Davidson. Prior to his retirement he was employed by SKF, Falconer, as a machine operator. He earlier had worked at Central Tractor, Schutt's Saw and Mower Service and Firch's Bakery. He was a former member of Calvary Assembly of God where he sang in a gospel quartet the Calvary Four. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland sports teams including the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He was a proud member of the Browns Backers. Surviving are his wife the former Gay Johnson Cordosi, whom he married April 7, 1984; two children Todd (Karen) Davidson of Jamestown and Lucina (Mark) Sawyer of Belleair Bluffs, FL; five step children Kimberly (Rich) Pinciaro of Jamestown, Robert (Jennifer) Cordosi of Chesapeake, VA, Chad (Amy Nelson) Cordosi, Deanna Cordosi and Mark Cordosi, all of Jamestown; an "adopted" daughter Sara Cowen of Jamestown who helped care for him during his recent illnesses; eight grandchildren Adam and Blake Davidson and Madeline and Olivia Pinciaro all of Jamestown, Abigail, Allison and Jacob Potts of Warren, OH and Brianna VanStry of Key West, FL; two brothers Eugene (Cindy) Davidson of Grand Rapids, MI and Vernon (Bonnie) Davidson of Bemus Point; two sisters Caroline (Tom) Larson of Friendship, NY and Janice (John) Scott of Jamestown and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Pam Potts and a sister Anita Bennett. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
