Obituary of Francesca G. Sabino

Francesca G. Sabino. 87, formerly of 83 Sanford Drive, Jamestown and Shirley Manor, Falconer, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Patsy F. Sabino whom she married November 16, 1946 and who died July 7, 1982. Francesca was born August 26, 1927 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille Ortolano Arcadipane. She had been a self employed seamstress for many years, as well as co-owner of Benson's Women's Apparel. She was a member of St. James Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society. In earlier years Francesca enjoyed golfing and bowling, participating in several leagues. Her greatest joy though was cooking for family and friends. Surviving are three children: David (Lucinda) Sabino of Rochester, MI, Joanne (Tim) Williamson of Jamestown and Mary (Robert)Wallace of Lakewood; eight grandchildren: Jason Sabino, Christina Sabino, TJ Patrick (Ashley) Williamson, Lauren (Brent) Morris, and Ryan, Nathan, Jason and Lindsay Wallace; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Grace Calabrese and Mamie Barber, and a brother, Angelo "Junior" Arcadipane. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Arcadipane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy will be celebrant. Entombment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 315 Alberta Dr., Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226.
