Obituary of Sandra J. Wallin

Sandra J. Wallin, 75, of 519 Howard Avenue, West Ellicott, died Friday December 12, 2014, in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born September 2, 1939, a daughter of the late Albin and Nora Blake Stenstrom. She was a 1957 graduate of Falconer High School and attended Alfred State University. She has been employed for many years by Westburgh Electric as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Thule Lodge and the Vikings. Sandy lived life to the fullest. She was not a member of many organizations; however, she was always a willing worker, volunteering to do whatever was necessary to help make an event successful. Surviving are her husband Lars E. Wallin, Sr., whom she married August 12, 1961; two children Lars (Carma) Wallin, Jr., of Houston, TX and Lisa (David) Cleveland of Lockport, NY; six grandchildren Dr. L. Erik Wallin, III of Birmingham, AL, Matthew and Stephen Wallin of Houston, Sandra Cleveland of Buffalo and Abigail and Magnus Cleveland of Lockport; two sisters Shirley Giambelluca of Frewsburg and Elaine Ahlquist of Jamestown; a brother Dwight Stenstrom of Falconer and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers Willard, Wesley, Warren, Derwin, Sheridan and Duane Stenstrom. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. J. Fay Cleveland will officiate. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
