Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Lang

Mary Elizabeth Lang, 70, of Covenant Manor, 23 West Third St. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 1, 2015, in the Tri Point Medical Center, Concord, OH. An area resident for most of her life, she was born October 9, 1944 in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Verne and Linnea B. Swanson Nelson. She was a graduate of Evans City High School in Evans City, PA and had worked for Lyons Transportation Lines and Chautauqua Hardware. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family playing cards and games. She also loved knitting, reading and shopping. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always liked a good joke. She will also be remembered for her amazing memory. Surviving are her three children; Bruce L. Lang, Tiffany H. Lang both of Jamestown, Linnea M. (Karl) Lucas Painesville, OH, a grandson; Jonah D. Lucas of Painesville, and a brother; Robert E. (Judy) Nelson of Graham, NC. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Nelson and her step-mother Shirley H. Nichols Nelson. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
