Obituary of Sharon R. Watson

Sharon R. Watson, 75, of 490 Fairmount Avenue, died Tuesday January 6, 2015, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born May 27, 1939, in Cortland, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Crum Rolfe. Following graduation from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Education, she was employed by Jamestown Public School District originally as a 1st grade teacher but primarily as a 6th grade teacher at Rogers Elementary School. She and her husband were show dog breeders of Afghan Hounds. She was a member of Afghan Hound Club of America having served as secretary and historian and was a life member of Conewango Valley Kennel Club. Surviving is her husband Hager Watson whom she married in 1960 and a sister Linda Shirley of Richardson, TX. No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
