Obituary of June F. Federko

June Faye Robertson Federko, 80, of 102 Lakeside Blvd, West Ellicott, died unexpectedly Thursday January 8, 2015, in WCA Hospital. A native of Jamestown, she was born June 1, 1934, a daughter of Earl Robertson and Barbara Clayton Robertson Duanne. She was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a life member of Women of the Moose, Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion Auxiliary serving as chaplain and Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Her other memberships include Celoron Senior Citizens, Harmony Seniors, Lakewood YMCA Exercise Class, Girl Scouts and Academy of Friendship of the Jamestown Moose Lodge. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading and trips, but time spent with family was what she enjoyed the most. Many thanks to family and friends for their support during this trying time. Surviving are her husband John Federko, whom she married in 1970; four children Susan (Robert) Sorensen of Warren, PA, Rev. R. Scott (Ianne) Dickinson of Ottawa, KS, Sandra (Charles) Long of Uniontown, PA and Julie (Donald) Miles of Jamestown; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Clayton Robertson and three sisters Barbara Oakes, Patricia Monroe and Virginia Robertson. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to YMCA Jets Swimming, 101 E. 4th Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
