Obituary of Delores M. Hanson

Delores M. Hanson, 86, of Hultquist Place, formerly of Riverside Road in Kiantone, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in WCA Hospital. She was born October 12, 1928 in Frewsburg, one of ten children of the late Gustav and Anna Carlson Hanson. Delores had been employed as a bookkeeper by Anderson Cleaners and later, as an administrative assistant by Jenkins Plumbing. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg. Delores' family will always remember her generosity and kindness that was shown to everyone. She shared her unconditional love with them all. Surviving are two sisters, Virginia Samuelson and Margaret White, both of Jamestown; many nieces and nephews, including Darlene Anderson of Frewsburg who for many years devoted so much time and care to Delores; as well as cousins Sherwood Anderson of Kane, PA and Elverna Rickerson of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eleanor Anderson, Lillian Rice and Gladys Fedirko; and four brothers, Enard, Clarence, Willis and Laverne Hanson. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Christ Chapel of the Lutheran Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received in Christ Chapel for one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg, NY 14738.
