Obituary of Kenneth A. Swartz

Kenneth A. Swartz, 82, formerly of 63 Pennsylvania Ave., Jamestown, died Tuesday morning, June 23, 2015 at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, Pa. He was born January 13, 1933 in North Harmony, the son of the late Kenneth and Goldie Swartz, Sr. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952 to 1954. He had been employed as a sheet metal journeyman, retiring from King's Heating in 1993. Following retirement, Ken enjoyed woodworking and hunting and always looked forward to travel. His family will forever remember his many practical jokes. Surviving is a son, Scott (Diane) Swartz of Warren; two grandchildren: Elissa and Kurtis Swartz, both of Warren; a brother, Ted Swartz of Vero Beach, FL and a sister, Hazel Linamen of Blockville, NY; several nieces and nephews; and Ken's former wife, Sally Swartz of Jamestown. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
