Obituary of Roberta E. Schnars

Roberta E. Schnars, 78, of 304 Jamestown Street, Sugar Grove, PA, died Friday July 3, 2015, in Warren, PA. A native of Jamestown, she was born August 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Hildur Young Lee. She attended Jamestown High School; prior to her retirement she was employed by Blackstone Corporation as an industrial nurse. Her earlier work included tenure at WCA Hospital as a registered nurse, she was also a CPR/First Aid instructor for the American Red Cross. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. Surviving is her husband Harry Schnars, whom she married June 8, 1957; two children Sandra (Eugene) Stevens of Winston Salem, NC and Steven (Cari) Schnars of Huntington Beach, CA; five grandchildren Chelsea (Sean) Halstead of Winston Salem, NC, Spencer (Jordan Brody) Stevens of Greensboro, NC, Todd (Carrie) Bowman of Redlands, CA, Luke (Elizabeth) Bowman of Tucson, AZ and Seth Bowman of Pismo Beach, CA; two great grandchildren Jackson and Alice Bowman and two sisters Judith Rhodes of Jamestown and Jeannette Perry of Lakewood. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
