Obituary of Cynthia D. Becker

Cynthia D. Woodfield Becker, 63, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 9, 2015 in her home. She was born June 17, 1952 in Jamestown the daughter of the late LaVerne H. and Betty J. Wallace Bimber. Cindy was a 1970 graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed at Anderson Screw Products for many years. She was an avid reader and loved all animals. Everyone she met, loved her. She always made everyone laugh with her funny stories. In earlier years, she was a league bowler. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, especially following their sports and activities. Surviving are a daughter, Laura (Colin) Chase of Rochester, NY; a son, Christopher (Stephanie) Woodfield of Vero Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Blake and Sidney Nance both of Rochester, NY; and four brothers, Charles, Lawrence, David, and Dene Bimber. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Jason Becker. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. At 3 p.m., a celebration of Cindy's life and time of sharing will be held. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
