Obituary of Anne Samaritano

Anne Samaritano, 77, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday September 10, 2015, in Brothers of Mercy, Clarence, following a 19 year battle with cancer. She was born January 9, 1938, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late James and Josephine Nicosia Cusimano. She was a 1956 graduate of Jamestown High School and later graduated from Jamestown Business College. For 24 years she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a paraprofessional and earlier had worked for Cusimano Brothers Garage where she received a life membership in the Honor Society of Accountants from Chrysler Corporation. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Anne was a life member of PTA of both Fairmount Elementary and Lincoln Junior High Schools. Surviving are two children Mary Jo Samaritano of Jupiter, FL and Joseph (Stacey) Samaritano of Orchard Park, NY and a brother Russell "Bucky" (Patty) Cusimano of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Samaritano, whom she married February 19, 1966 and who died February 10, 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
