Obituary of Beatrice J. Beatty

Beatrice J. Beatty, 81, of 1055 Kiantone Road, Jamestown, passed away Thursday November 12, 2015,in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Beatty was born November 3, 1934, in Anita, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Agatha Egelski Mennetti. Mrs. Beatty attended Punxsutawney High School. She married Lee Beatty, and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary October 27th, 2015. In earlier years Mrs. Beatty worked at Rockman's Super Duper and Weber Knapp Company. Above all, she loved being a housewife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and had fond memories of Our Lady of Victory Church, Frewsburg,"her" church as she called it. Bea loved to sew and was always creating new treasures from old, loved crafts and gardening. Such a creative mind, she left her family with pages and pages of her poems and writings. Bea and Lee loved to travel throughout the western states on their motorcycle and in earlier years she hunted deer alongside her husband and son. Surviving is her husband Lee Beatty of Kiantone; two daughters Deborah Beatty and Rick of Jamestown and Andrea and husband Tom Windoft of Lakewood; a son Roger and wife Deanna Beatty of Missoula, MT; five grandchildren Andrew and wife Sara Beatty of Florence, MT, Kelseigh and husband Dustin Hover of Missoula, Miranda Blake of Phoenix, AZ, Benjamin Windoft of Shaker Heights, OH and Brock Windoft of Lakewood, NY; a sister Consetta and husband Robert Shaffer of DuBois, PA; two brothers John Mennetti of Rossiter, PA and Joe and wife Sherry Mennetti of Columbus, PA and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by an infant son David; a sister Anna Milliron and a brother Frank Mennetti. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 11-1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W.
